Traffic Information

A three – stage plan was put to establish a traffic information network, to collect all the driving and vehicle licenses to be stored on the main computer of the Traffic General Administration for establishing a database. In addition to having a link between all the different traffic departments, so they can transfer and exchange data to fulfill the following targets:

• Benefiting from the stored traffic data on the different traffic departments to facilitate the procedures of record or ownership transfer.
  
• Transfer and exchange data and traffic documents through this network, such as ( data certificate, customs release, files, etc….)
  
• Security query on the vehicles with the number plate, chassis number , engine number or even a part of it to limit the suspicions.
  
• Establishing a closed telephone network between all traffic departments and licensing units
  
• Track customs – released vehicles ( temporary release) to guarantee returning back the vehicle or paying the customs tariffs.
  
• Worthy to mention that many levels of protection and privacy were put to secure the network.
